Clayton Sallee
Heyo! My name is Clayton, and I’m from Brighton, Michigan. I am a performer, songwriter, event and wedding coordinator, and a lover of Christmas! It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
I’ve always had a passion for music and performing. I started singing in church when I was about seven. When I was eight, I asked my mom to give me my first vocal lessons. It wasn’t until high school that I figured out how much I loved to be on stage. I found any opportunity I could to do just that! Performing in the school’s musicals, acapella group, chamber choir, and men’s choir. As a shock to no one, in 2016, I decided to major in Musical Theatre at Oakland University. While at OU I found another passion too. Being In Charge! I was the Box Office Student Manager, a MaTilDa Awards Committee member, head of concession sales, and President of the Actors & Techies Board. I can confidently say that I love being in control (it’s something we’re working on in therapy). What can I say, my mom taught me how to be organized and truthful. My life motto is “serve wholeheartedly” and I do just that.
In addition to all of my tasks at OU, I spent every summer working as a professional performer. I went from Annas in JCS to my first Equity theater contract to the chaos that is performing at an amusement park (five shows a day/ six days a week). They were hard contracts, but I’m grateful for the performer and person they’ve made me today. Then I graduated in April of 2020 with my BFA and signed with The Price Group Talent Agency! Aaaand we all know how the rest of that year went…
It was a rough start after graduation but we seem to be doing okay now. I’ve achieved my personal goal of performing on a cruise ship (3x’s now!). While I still really love ship life, I feel it is time to reach for some other goals of mine. You should probably follow my Instagram so you can watch me do it hehe.
